About Our Branch
The Oxley branch of Henry Sue Circular Tong Long is a school dedicated to the teaching of fighting skills through the art of Kung Fu and Tai Chi. Our school welcomes and caters for those in the community of all backgrounds. Because we are a family orientated school we strive to provide students with a safe and friendly atmosphere in which to train. Our Sifu, Paul Laird, has been learning this art under the instruction of Grand Master Henry Sue since 1982. Sifu Paul provides a structured training program to ensure that martial arts skills are attained, not only through hard work and dedication, but also through respect of oneself and others.
Our school teaches both internal (yin) and external (yang) elements of the art. The emphasis being on surviving real world situations, and reducing the concerns over physical size and strength. We encourage all students to make Kung Fu an active part of their daily lives. Through regular and consistent training of yin and yang elements, the health and mind benefits of Kung Fu will be rapidly realised.
At the Oxley branch, we appreciate that it's not all about hard work and kung Fu. We strive to bring balance to the school through regular social activities including Yum Cha and BBQ's. These social events provide a great opportunity for all family members of students to get acquainted in a relaxed environment, and to experience the camaraderie that exists within the school.
The pathway through this art is not short; however the journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step. So we welcome you to come in and try the art - remembering that the first lesson is FREE.
